The York Euphonium Range
Success in musical instrument manufacture is based on high levels of quality control combined with traditional craftsmanship and dedication. These skills enhanced by innovative production processes and the use of quality tried and tested tooling ensure the new York Euphonium Range represents everything the professional player looks for in a euphonium: sound quality, ease of response, accurate intonation, wide dynamic and scalar ranges, impeccable valve action, versatility, and true craftsmanship.
Together with Schreiber & Keilwerth, the York Euphonium Range has been developed by some of the world's finest euphonium soloists for musicians with the highest expectations. Months of research and development have culminated in the production of three world-class euphoniums for world-class players.
The York Preference 3067 Euphonium is a traditional large bell euphonium with a medium-large bore lead pipe. With a modified lead pipe and receiver the instrument benefits from improved intonation throughout the range and is capable of producing a wonderful tone of true sonority in all registers. The ease of response combined with the instrument's ability to retain a cantabile quality in the most extreme dynamics make this euphonium the perfect choice for a wide variety of players. The instrument is extremely versatile whether playing as a soloist or chamber musician, and certainly represents the perfect choice for anyone who adores the traditional euphonium sound.
The York Preference 3068 Euphonium is perhaps the most intriguing instrument in the York Euphonium Range . Over the decades a trend in euphonium design has led to the production of bigger instruments capable of producing wide mellow sounds, however, bigger is not always better for all players, so the Preference 3068 has taken its inspiration from the more compact instruments of yesteryear; instruments when in skilled hands are capable of combining a beautiful sonorous tone with all that a more compact instrument has to offer. With various modifications, this small bell, medium lead-pipe euphonium produces a phenomenally focussed glowing sound with an ease of response all will appreciate. Combined with improved intonation and a great feel, this euphonium is simply a joy to play.
The York Eminence 4052 Euphonium could be considered the flagship instrument of the York Euphonium Range . As played by some of the world's leading players, this instrument offers traditional sound quality, combined with innovative design and a perfect build. Whether performing brass band, wind band, classical or jazz, this euphonium is a must have tool of extreme versatility for the serious euphonium player. Research, attention to detail, precision, and thorough 'road-testing' in all genres of music have contributed to the design and development of a large bell, large bore euphonium that combines magnificent tone quality with a truly outstanding feel and response. Complete with a revolutionary trigger design, the Eminence 4052 has to be experienced to be believed.
Eminence 4052 Design Features:
A newly developed lead pipe and receiver enhances the ease of response and sound performance of this large-bore euphonium.
A 'true' floating lead pipe provides the ultimate in control and resonance.
A new 'state of the art' tuning slide trigger design allows a huge adjustable throw and features additional strengthening between receiving sleeves, an easy fix spring, an easy on and off mini-ball push fitting, and a choice of two protective shields.
Classically inspired valve tops and bottoms with partially convex button tops provide improved comfort and control whilst adding to the elegance of this professional model instrument.
Revolutionary valve performance is made possible with perfectly set springs, glass fitted nylon guides, and a lapping process with absolute attention to detail its foundation.
Keilwerth inspired black nickel plating features on all contact points including valve tops and trigger lever. Not only is black nickel far more durable than silver or gold, it makes the York Eminence the most eye catching instrument on the market.
Newly designed stays enhance the cosmetic appearance of the York Eminence, but with extra strength they also increase the durability of the instrument, specifically benefiting precise alignment of the main tuning slide receivers contributing to a superb trigger action.
Relatively light in weight with carefully positioned false-piece, lead-pipe and trigger lever, the Eminence boasts perfect ergonomics for a wide variety of players.
A choice of weighted valve bottoms provides the performer with artistic options enhancing the versatility of the York Eminence.
Essential for the marching brass or military bands person, the Eminence comes with a music lyre fixing box as standard.
With the York Eminence take your pick of instrument case; heavy duty flight case or the light weight carry case with back-pack shoulder straps.
