David Childs Tour through Germany

David Childs enthuses at masterclasses

Once again this year David Childs and York were on a workshop tour throughout Germany. David Childs excited broad, music-enthused audiences at master classes and concerts.

This year´s tour started at the College of Music in Augsburg and led to numerous music shops and on to the Folkwang College of Music in Essen. The conclusion of the tour was a visit to the Dueren Brass Band, which David Childs accompanied, much to the delight of the many euphonium, baritone horn and tenor horn players. To everybody’s excitement, there was a further workshop on the morning of 25 Oct. 2009, to which guests even came from the Netherlands and Belgium to participate. And David Childs did not disappoint anyone. He was well received by the guests with his themes, “Music begins where perfection ends” and “Practice what you cannot do well, and perfect what you can do well”. Besides that, there were many tips, which can contribute to better playing.
